About the Course
Nature-oriented organizations have a lot on their plates. They're busy restoring habitats, guiding hikes, preserving land, protecting threatened species, and generally making the world a better place.
But doing all that work doesn't leave a whole lot of time for social media. As a consequence, many nature-oriented organizations are under-utilizing a powerful tool that could be reaching wider audiences, mobilizing public action, and even bringing in more revenue.
I've spent hundreds of hours learning the craft of storytelling for social media by reading books, listening to podcasts, watching YouTube videos, and working with some of the most successful nature creators in the state.
The problem? Absolutely none of the books, podcasts, and videos I consumed were focused on nature. This meant I had to experiment extensively to see what worked in the nature space.
Thankfully, all of that reading, conversation, and dedicated practice yielded many lessons that improved my craft. Now, my own short-form videos have reached millions of people around the world.
This course condenses my years of hard-earned insight and creative work into nine concise, easily-digestible units specifically designed for busy employees of nature orgs who are juggling many other responsibilities.
By the end of the course, you'll:
- Understand what social media platforms want, and how that information helps you as a creator
- Have a basic social media strategy that helps your content fulfill your org's mission
- Understand each step in the video creation process
- Finish one short video for publication to your org's social pages
- Have access to tools that will help you keep creating great content for years to come
This is the course I wish I had when I was starting out. Now, you can skip the guesswork and start creating with confidence. See you in there!
